    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

$3 for 18.000 page views? Looking for alternative..

    Hey,

I'm running a niche-market file-sharing site (most content uncontroversially legal), with a good deal of search engine traffic (around 18.000 landings a day) that I'd like to monetize.

I've been running AdBrite text ads for a couple of months, but the results are horrible. I make about $3 a day, which I think is rather bad for that amount of traffic. Also, AdBrite holds on to the money for up to 3 months + waiting for the check + waiting for the check to clear... sucks big time.

So I'm looking for an ad program that can beat a ridiculous $3 for 18K pageviews, that offers PayPal payments (or something similar), and ideally one that can match ads to the title of the page (or keywords that you pass to it somehow).

I'd appreciate any pointers. I've read that Clicksor contextualizes ads and does PayPal, but reports on the net have been so unanimously negative that I don't wanna go there..

I wish I new your site address. I would buy your space on adbrite for $3...especially 18k a day. yes, if I where you I would keep my eyes open and look around a bit. A better opportunity will come along soon if you keep on looking.

you should take advantage of adbrite's CPM ads and full page ads. I believe you'll make more than $3 ;)

plus, add bidvertiser. they pay net-30 via paypal (min $10) and always on time ... no payment delay so far for me :)

I would give ADSDAQ a look. Right now I am getting $2 CPM from them, and I don't have near the stats you do. They only fill about 40% of my ads with that though, and the rest they will put in a back code. Right now I have them paired with adsense.

as I said above ... do not depend on adbrite's CPC ... use their CPM & full page ads ...
combine it with bidvertiser as well ;)

So it has to do with the niche of the site?
It seems that the entertainment niche doesnt pay well??
Or the entertainment niche in AB network doesnt pay well?
    Can anyone clarify this?

    Thanks

    Ismu,

I will definitely use CPM but do you think that full page ads will annoy the visitors?
In which ratio do you use the full page ads? 5/1 (5 pageviews 1 full ad)?

My daily pageviews is about 700-800 a day because its a new domain and i havent SEO'ed my site yet...
All this traffic comes thru search engine with minimal optimization.
If i complete the SEO i believe that i can "hit" the same pageviews in a day but if it isnt worth my time
i will leave this site/niche and move on.

I cant use adsense because before some years i was experiment with adsense
on a free site and then abandon it with the result to be banned from adsense
    without know why...

If there is a way that big G can accept me again i will be glad to hear

    Thanks

That's not actual pageviews, that's ad views, for instance if you have 3 banner ad's or 3 lot's of text ad's - then you need to divide that by 3. You have to basically divide page views by the number of ad's on each page ....

P.V Divided By Number of Ads.

Have You consider CPM programs with popups?
If so check out this list of CPM programs. The first on the list pays up to 1.80$ per 1000 impressions if You have traffic from US/UK , pays twice a month with check/Paypal (minimum is 100$). For other countries traffic rates are lower.

So, with Your 18k pageviews daily, You should be earning around 32$ (if UK/US traffic), that's 972$/month :)

Man it's these kinda comments that make it look soooo easy to earn online ....

Well clickthrucash are a scam, I sent them 1000s of hits for .... well freaking cents.

See that's the thing .... US and UK traffic is needed for Big Dollars .... the truth is there's no high paying CPM or CPC and there's always a snag ....

AND I am fed up of idiots saying try this .... in my sig' .... when they are clearly talking out their assholes.

Never said anything of any clickthrucash, and I don't even know them - sorry that You have a bad experiences with CPM. I didn't :) , Uk/US traffic is more valuable, agree, but other sources of traffic have a value too.

Also, I only have my own sites in my signature, that I think might be helpful for some poeples. Never offered "quick bucks" and "be a millionaire" - i just show You the road to MAYBE some decent revenue - it is up to You what You'll choose :)

Actually AdBrite doesn't have CPM-only zones. It's CPM+Text. I've got one of those zones on the bottom of the page, but it only pays 50c on an average day (i.e. 18.000 impressions). Would it pay more if I had it further up the page? You would think that for CPM it shouldn't matter where the ad is on the page, right?

I don't want to do pop-ups, layer, or full-page ads. It's just too annoying for users.

I'm going to dig thru some of the suggestions above. yesadvertising looks interesting, maybe i'll try bidvertiser too.
