Yahoo removes numbered results

Has anyone noticed that Yahoo no longer displays a number next to the results on their SERP pages? Yahoo is looking more and more like Google these days. They must be really desperate.

I have noticed it also while I am checking the SERPs. It is much okey if the Yahoo has a numbered results and it is easy for us to determined the results. I think Yahoo is updating the search result and search assistant for the site.

Hey, I'm glad to hear that. I never liked the numbered results. In fact, that was the top peeve I had with using them :D

They really do listen to the feedback, I guess :)

So now Google has started copying Google ! But it is really a nice feature to remove the numbering from the SERP's result.

There's been plenty of chatter and opinion to suggest that, assuming you are referring to Yahoo copying Google :p

What a shame. Those numbers on Yahoo! made it a lot easier for reporting. If they are looking to improve, they should work on their algorithm.

i liked the numbers actually. its upsetting to see them go just so that yahoo can keep hanging on the coat tails of google.

Start at the first result, say "One", continue to the next result and say "Two", continue to the next result and say "Three", and so on....that's how you can count.....
