I do advertising (PPC) with both Google and Yahoo. the other day I got a call from a customer service agent at Yahoo making sure that everthing was running ok and that i was happy with the results.

You should of seen the look on my face. The multi billion dollar search engine giant calling me?

    Google never calls me :(

Keep up the Good work Yahoo!

I have only started advertising with Yahoo and I had a problem with my account and sent them an email, they rang me and sent me an email back and sorted out the problem in record time. A great first impression I must say

That's quite nice, it's small things like that where I'm willing to go with a less popular product/service compared to another service that will treat you like crap, but perform better.

Very nice of them to think of the people that give them money.. thats the way to make business for sure: keep your clients happy and always communicate with them. Yahoo will never die if they don`t forget this.

Well that's the reason I support Yahoo and even setup a support site for Yahoo services. Yahoo does helps and sorts out alot of things which google ignores to do. ;)

I did too. I hate yahoo PPC and hosting. THe PPC did not do much for me. There customer service is ok but there services suck. They dont support but a handfull of php scripts, like 20 or so, I'm in the process of switching my host. Boo to yahoo~

G is more of a monopolistic regime. But cannot complain because it is the hand that feeds the web world now a days.

That was exactly what I was going to say.

Google gets about 65% of search inquiries made and yahoo about 25%.

But it was nice to hear about yahoo, at least one thing in which its leading.

I agree. The happyier the clients are the better the company does :) But when was the last time you got a courtesy call from microsoft asking how you like VISTA (we all know how that conversation would go),

Yea Google gives you more traffic. However I have a jewelry client that gets 20,000 visitors monthly. Google sends more then Yahoo, but the visitors sent from Yahoo lead to a higher sales conversion then Google traffic :)

Was the bad experience traffic related or conversion related?
