Banned From BlogRush?

This morning I found that my blog was banned from blogrush,even though I provided them with ~1000 direct referrals and plenty of traffic. John Reese deleted my blogs pingbacks from his comments section too, looks like he's acknowleding the mistake and is now trying to cover up.

Yea , Blog rush was poorly planned,

I do respect John a lot for his work, but this while thing was poorly planned.

he should have all his ducks in a row before the launch

More than blogrush was badly planned, i think the whole system sucked big time. Recently I received a comment from a guy called David Bullock on my modern blogrush post which pretty much makes sense and kinda explains what blogrush is and some other words about John Reese

 

LOL, I also just got banned. Competitive intel? Random? Who knows, their model is kinda wonky anyway, never saw the value in it that some do...

Apparently over 10,000 blogs have been removed because they didn't meet BlogRush's new quality guidelines. Some people actually think it is a scam.

Nice post. I like John Cows layout on his blog... Good stuff. It's lame that he got banned. I wonder how much traffic he was getting with all those referrals..

 

Although I'm no big fan of blogrush, you gotta hand it to John Reese. His marketing prowess is excellent and I could stand to learn a trick or two from him. Granted, a quality product would have been the icing on the cake for him!
I feel that blogrush perpetuates the "rich getting richer" mantra - I'm sure that John Chow and Shoe got a ton of links from one another from that thing.
What do you guys feel could have been better about Blogrush?

I don't know if it is a scam or just so poorly thought out for the long run that now they have too much on their plate. I have started many different successful businesses and the main thing to do it "under promise, over deliver" and Mr Reese did the opposite of that.

 

Well after reading john reeses blog I will have to change what I said above. It really seems like a lot of people did get ripped off bad in this that he basically deleted 10,000 blogs from blogrush without any reason because their servers couldn't take it and they were trying to make quality of traffic to the rest of the blogs better

 

Tamar Weinberg's blog Techipedia has been banned too.
