New alternative to Adsense from Microsoft

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by stackman, Aug 21, 2007.

As a Microsoft Adcenter advertiser, I received the following email today:

    ------------
We’re excited to announce that Microsoft® Content AdsBeta will be released to all U.S. adCenter advertisers on August 29. Thank you for being a part of the U.S. pilot of Content Ads! Your participation and feedback during our pilot were critical to the success of our product.
    ------------

Although it wasn't mentioned in the email, this means they should introduce a publisher program, similar to Adsense, to have sites host the ads. My guess is that they will host the ads on their own sites and other large sites in the beginning. Then as ad inventory grows, they'll open it up to you and me. I just hope it works better than Yahoo's program.

For those who have been blocked from using Adsense, this may be a new beginning.

it's only an alternative for people who lives in usa.

the biggest advantage of adsense is being international.

because of this, i dont think that ms has come an alternative for adsense

same with YPN. I really dont expect them to ever announce ads for European publishers.

Yeah, that simply sucks. I got kicked from Adsense since last year, complained a thousand times and I'm still kicked. But I have no alternatives here in europe....

I think adsense will remain top even after YPN and MSN diversify internationally.

Hope they come out fast, internationally and don't have a clause like

    "Compatible only with .NET websetes"

    ...just kidding

If they go international and many ads displayed in them, I will use this and leave adsense.
