    Hi, I am thinking of selling one of my websites www.riddlesmith.com which has a huge database of riddles which is unique to this website.

    Also, I created a new CMS specifically for this website (C#/ ASP.NET) which I will give away when / if I sell this site.

    It has adsense on it and has makes about $4 a month. It gets around 40 visitors a day.

    Can anyone give me a ballpark figure of what this site would be worth?

    $100-$200

    Pretty tough to sell a site making a few cents a day for more than that, unless there is incredible potential.

    100-200? Are you kidding me?

    I dont think its worth more than 70 to be honest, with some luck you can get up to 100.

    The design of the website is poorly done, too many ads everywhere..

    Sorry I dont want to sound mean, just giving you my honest opnion.

    nice site but my opinion is to change the color of the riddles to make them stand out more than the ads. the riddles look like ads to me. just my opinion

    I have a historical database of website sales and a corresponding graphing tool that I use to value websites. Based on similar sales, I think you could get $150 or more for it if you use a BIN and sell it at sitepoint.

    Here are some example sales

    Don't get me wrong. I personally don't think they are worth that much, and wouldn't pay more than $50 for either site, or your riddle site, but the data shows that some people will pay a premium for potential.

    You must wonder... how much potential is there for a riddle site? I'm not too familiar with the market for riddles.
