Google have just released Blog Search, it looks pretty cool and has a few more operators:
    • inblogtitle:
    • inposttitle:
    • inpostauthor:
    • blogurl:
It looks like a good way to find what blog posts are linking to your site.

Thanks for the link. I notice that an overwhelming number of results are from livejournal.com Initial indexing glitch I guess.

Question is...will google eventually move blogs from the google index to a blog only index. Blogs are getting so spammy, maybe this is part of their eventual solution.... hmmm. Maybe it will be another "Tab" (ie news/images/froogle/blogs/). That would make a LOT of folks upset... (just a theory)

I can't see them doing that besides it's not just blogs that are spammy.

I believe that they are going to more and more specify specific criterias people are searching after. There are those who love to read blogs and others that don't. It does make a lot of sense to me to have a seperate index for that.

Well first off we would have to define "blog" since it aint weblog anymore. A site with a rss feed? I don't think so.

Maybe I should go look at it :p

funny how they are redirecting you to the blogs instead of just linking you.

geez ... just has a thought .... if google hashed the url of their result listings they could cut down on sites scraping google to make content by doing sometting like this -

    google.com? jumpredirect = kjfhasdf897a89sdf7

I doubt it... the redirection URL is what they use when they are testing new things. I bet they go away after awhile.

This is a feed search engine more than anything else...

Does no one else see that they are kinda shooting themselves in the foot here?

Providing another *easy* way for people to rip content...

Google haven't been indexing for very long

I found it very useful to search for blogs using my content, especially articles without my bio

    Notice they don't support tags?

Interesting. It really seems to prefer recent content by default. Have you guys seen instances where your stolen content is appearing before yours in the serps?
