Is Google Pagerank Dead?

Many webmasters anticipated the Pagerank update in the first week of the year 2011 but they were frustrated because there is no PR update happening. Some bloggers following the Pagerank update noticed that there are only two updates that happened in 2010 - January 2010 and April 2010. Many speculated that Google will remove Pagerank because webmasters were really obsessed about it and forgot what is more important - the content.

What is your idea guys? Is Google Pagerank Dead?
If not, when will be the next pagerank update?

 

well there have been no PR update since April 2010, earlier it used to be every 3 or 6 month max. seems google has decided not to show the updated PR to anyone. just a suggestion instead of focusing on PR I would say focus on quality content and backlinks the more backlinks your have the more organic traffic you would get from google.

 

Mostly Google defer the update because of change in algorithm,As the unconfirmed sources said
The next update will be in March.So keep doing good.Just post unique contents that it.

 

I haven't slaved myself to Google PR for almost two years now, and am getting more traffic than before, especially from Google.

Rather than doing the Google dance, I can concentrate on things like content and keeping my design fresh, rather than trying to figure out the latest workaround for whatever unknown "rule" that has been put into play.

Google pagerank is not dead yet but nearly, this may be what Google expecting to happen. Google pagerank is not used to be big website value indicator like years ago anymore. There were many abused and Google made a lot of adjustment lately to prevent any abuse possible. It could be dead soon if peoples do not pay attention anymore.

PR is still there and not dead, it still exist the only changes is that its not part of the main factor to get rank in the serp and the update PR update is not the huge anymore.

 

I think so cuz there has been no updates for awhile now.

Let's wait and see what will be Google's next move. Currently with a PR 0 of my gaming blog which i have acquired a new domain sometime in August 2010, I can see that i have at least 5 keywords that's on the # 1 spot on Google SERP. Backlinks are indeed a good ranking factor so that you will increase your ranking in SERP.

 

Yes. The information from goolgle is that people should not focus on the PR and they announced this is their blog a lot of times.
Actually really people should not focus on the PR, bur mostly on content, backlinks and quality of the website.
Last days I saw change in the google SERP, which can be a sign for update, but we are still waiting.

 

PR is not dead .I thing google is facing any problem .Because it is giving replay for adsense after 15 day ,befor it was 7 day.

I think they still have page rank. The only thing of it is that they are only relying on a non public database to reflect it.
