Is Bing a slow indexer?

Hi,
My site has more than 500K indexes in Google but Bing only has around 22K index pages of my site. I thought that it was because Bing is slow to index but then I saw that my competitor has more than 40K index in Google but around 60k in Bing.
How to make Bing index much more? Is there any guidelines that I am not aware of? Thanks

 

Yes, Bing is slow as evidenced by the number of posts along those same lines here on DP. In my company's case, we've noticed our pages get indexed by Google within hours to a day or two but Bing can take weeks.

 

I have found that bing indexed us faster and they also seem to update our site faster after we make changes to the tex and title tag.

 

Bing indexes only certain pages . It has a faster but more picky algorithm .

 

Bing is now indexing the sites more quickly if you are getting traffic on website.

 

I don't think so, Bing working well for me.

 

I don't the connection here, that particular site of mine is getting around 600K pageviews per month and I doubt Bing indexes or rank sites according to their traffic. Not to mention how it would be impossible for them to know my site's traffic figures.

 

Bing is nowhere as fast or comprehensive as Google when indexing sites. But that is to be expected given Google is the larger and more experienced operator. Or at least that's what I feel.

 

I have felt bing indexes very little of our pages, and usually just the homepage. Also their ranking is very slow and weird, compared to the previous yahoo, and google.

 

Have they even been up long enough for anybody to know?

 

Ya i too agree with the fact that the bing is slow in indexing the website as compared to other search engines as my new website that has already been indexed in google and yahoo is not yet indexed with bing...
I think they must take care of it so as to maintain their position in internet search industry among the google and yahoo.

i dont like bing as a search engine.. io think its not realy attractive page for users i think

the number of link that be indexed: Google is index faster than Bing
content update on link: Bing update faster than Google.
besides, ranking on google is more important. so, pay attention to Google first.
you may do social book mark for you children page. it may help Bing to index faster.

 

I would say so. Bing not as active as google bots.

 

Bing tends to index my subpages more then Google for some odd reason. But yes, much slower then Google, for me, my experience has been 1 to 2 weeks
