Google's discovery of gravity logo

Discussion in 'Google' started by harvester, Jan 3, 2010.

Just been having fun with Google's discovery of gravity logo, pause your mouse on one of the apples and it falls to the ground. Can't get the apple to go back on the tree, which proves that you can't defy gravity (in case you were wondering.)

Sure you can defy it, you just need energy :)

Yes, I was thinking along similar lines. The old saying 'you can't defy gravity' isn't, strictly speaking, correct. Aviation, 'planes, airliners, whatever, defy it all the time. But only while the energy - aviation fuel, lasts.

its done using javascript effects i guess.. the apple which goes down is not actually a part of the logo aand seprate image by itself

The apple falls on the ground immediately and not after the effect of mouse. I guess 'Bohra' is right in saying that the effect is created using two separate images, because the logo image when saved, does not show the original apple in its place! :)

I use Google a lot and having that apple dropping all day long is going to drive me up a wall! It was fat at first, but has grown annoying.

Was fat at first. Do you mean the word "phat" that people used to say in the 90's?

The apple on Google looks tasty. Anyway Google is now improving by putting some flash effects on the it's home page.

It is rather annoying, I do agree. They should stick to nonanimated logos :)
