It is very nice, but why can't I save a cvs file straight from adsense or adwords right to google docs? Seems to me that would be one of the niciest features they could have and it is not there. Come on Google.

This will be included in Google OS I suspect. This is really cool. :) Thanks for the heads up.

I don't think there wll be a Google OS

I do think there will be a Google Office though, with a sync tool between Google Docs and a modified OpenOffice

I tried-out the spreadsheet program last night. It took a while to load at first, but after that it seemed to work very nicely. The share and collaboration features will make this a useful tool for team members working remotely from each other, which will give it a niche following. Also, this is a great solution for the Internet café bound who do not have either their own computer or for people without money to shell-out for Office.

It will be interesting to see how this project evolves. For example, I could see Google creating an interface to tie their spreadsheet into Google Finance to run custom calculations and automate trading through a broker partnership.

The smartest thing about this is that they're going after a space that's got no dominant player. There is no established web-based office suite out there

yet anyway, Microsoft will try and make it so you don't need use online things and will find a way to save them online (without having to FTP to the backend of your site) and cock it up ;)

    Yea,it's great that they've done.

once you download the javscripts required to run it, it's more the processing power on your computer that matters

This won't kill MSN, but will certainly take a bite out of Microsoft's home & small business profits
