Typically there are 3-4 a year, but it's generally a bit random. It's been since I believe about June since the last one, so it's safe to assume that if they do another update (there's been speculation that they're phasing it out), it will likely be soon.

The last PR update was a few days ago when Google removed the PR stats from your Webmaster Tools account.

I wonder when they'll update the toolbar PR, I heard they are busy with caffeine so it could be delayed awhile.

I think google better do something soon. Either get rid of it or do an update. It makes google look really stupid having old obsolete pageranks in the toolbar.

In this time, people have sold millions of sites with high pagerank (like PR 5, ect.). The people who buy them develop an entirely different crap site but people think these sites have high pagerank but they really don't. Makes google look really stupid with them ranking these craps sites with a false-misleading pagerank.

Either get rid of it entirely or update it soon, don't just keep sitting on your asses letting the older sites get much more authority and get higher listings (directories that list sites in order of pagerank) while never letting new sites grow in that regards. Especially leaving old outdated pagerank information like DMOZ does with it's crappy poor quality directory.

I agree totally with peppy above and have sold sites based on their PR which turned into crap.

Get rid of it or re-do your algorithmic Google!

Haha, my site lost its pagerank (it was a 2) but its ranking on its main keyword @ #3, an all time high. Still would be nice to have a nice green bar show up on my browsers, so hopefully they do an update sooner than later.

It's been forever. I hope they wait 2 more months. Hopefully Google will listen. However, I think it's coming soon.

What makes you think they are thinking when to do the update? They don't have to think because they don't care.

Never seen such a huge delay between 2 PR updates over the past few years during which I've been tracking PR updates. Perhaps, Google is gonna remove toolbar PR for good.
