    Why monthly?

Only for first time you receive PIN number when you reached your first $50.

What if you change address, do they send new PIN? I've never tried that & just wanted to know..

If just change country you must email them I think, if just address, there is no problem.

you need to add it just once as it's just to authenticate your postal address.

Don't google have an alternate way of verifying the user's address.
Maybe they could simply call up the user and verify his identity.
Then take the address on the phone itself.
If the user gives wrong address, he's the one who will lose the
    cheque money.

Why send it via mail? I'm sure many of their verification PIN mails
must be getting lost in the postal system.

If that would be true, cheques will also be lost. ;)

Getting PIN on your address is pretty cool.

Oh Yes! I'm sure cheques are getting lost as well.
I read on many forums, people asking google for help
because they didn't receive their cheques.
