This isn't the same exact thing at all and they are most definitely NOT scared of Bing. Google is all about form when it comes to being a search engine. They are merely giving an extra option of customization for iGoogle.

Maybe the get some idea but this has nothing to do with Bing. It is more personalized and proves Google is user oriented.

And if you'll recall, the Titanic was unsinkable. Wake up people! Just because one company holds the market share of searches, doesn't mean that it would be impossible for them to lose ground to competition. Google is the most popular search engine, there is no arguing that fact. But don't just dismiss another engine because it's not a popular choice.

Google is definitely 100 times better than bing; they have nothing to fear in my opinion.

Really though, why is Google 100 times better?

Aside from Adsense, and the fact that 70% of the people use it, what do they have to offer. Instead of just coming in and saying the same thing as everyone else before you, why don't you at least give your reason for thinking the way you do?

Microsoft took a backseat for too long when it came to the internet.

They have left it too late now, Google has got the upper hand by a long way and I can't see anything changing.

People get set in their ways and Google is like second-nature to people, you hear people say go and "google it" etc

I don't think there will ever be a day when people say go and "Bing it"

Bing won't defeat google but will surely steal some percent of visitors. Of course they worry about it (except if they are stupid) but there were many themes before bing... So that's not the same...

Panic and Paranoia are great terms for news headlines, it gets you to read the article. I don't think that these words are really fitting for this situation. I think that Google is approaching Microsoft's new search offering as any competitive business should.

    Good Article Sakto.

Why is Google Scared about Bing's theme?
He's already steady for his status.
But my idea about the themes for iGoogle. They're very amazing.

Whatever you say, it's quite a coincidence that G introduced these themes so soon after Bing launch.
