There are only 1,990,000 other pages Google indexes for this search term, so it is NOT HIGHLY COMPETITIVE. *PLUS* This site already ranks #3 on the FIRST PAGE in Live/MSN for this key phrase and the site has moved up from page 8 to page 3 for the same key phrase in Google over last 45 days! Here's the run down. The site was started in February '08 and SEO work on it only began about 2 months ago. This is a very exciting and engaging site. User stats are solid, with a low bounce rate (daily ranging from 28%-38%) and average time on site of just over 3 minutes. And we're about to launch a blog this month with tons of video content, product reviews, and high quality articles, which we expect to keep users on the site even longer! I've pretty much only done on-page SEO, but there's still more to be done. Offsite, I bought 5 links and done some blog commenting and a bit of forum posting for back links, and purchased roughly 900 directory submissions, but that's it. Some competitors only a few ranks above have THOUSANDS of incoming links. And get this. Yahoo reports about 150 links for the site you’ll be working on, and it already ranks 2 pages lower than a competitor (who sells the exact same products and nothing more) when yahoo reports over 100,000 links for them. So the potential for this site is MASSIVE. Every one link to this site has got to be worth 50-100 links to the other guys. It has all the ingredients needed to make it to page one. THIS IS WHAT I NEED FROM YOU I'm looking for someone experienced in SEO work for this project. This site needs little more than some good quality inbound links and social bookmarking to move up to page 1. You can use whatever other techniques you want provided that they are white hat and that you run them by me first. Before I send you the link and give you the key phrase we're targeting, I need to know that you are a legitimate and experienced SEO. That means good iTrader or some kind of portfolio or website backing you up. Moreover - I know you can't give any details without actually seeing the site first - but based on the information provided, if you can explain what you plan to do to move the site to page 1, you will very much improve your chances of convincing me of your legitimacy.
