What is the Bad Neighborhood?

I have a medical related site.

I have gone to the Link Purchasing section of DP, and I was looking for some people with health related links.

Many people are PMing me and I can get PR4 links quickly..

But -- do I want to do this if they have anchor text that says BUY STEROIDS on their site?

Does that mean they're in bad neighborhood?

bad neighborhood means , url's exist in same share host folder wher ur link already exist, and other these url's can affect on ur site .

a ad neighbor hood is considered when you link your site to other sites: warez site, adult sites, all kind of banned sites.... link farms are among them...

 

each host server has lots of ip registered means each ip may has lots of domain or host site contained , means there ip is same , ex : in usa godaddy is host service provider and there has lots of site in there server, they can give individual ip with high cost and host service and 2nd is share ip service with low cost(also any places in the world) , In individual ip there are full security to upload or host one domain as we wish, but in share ip with low cost we are not entitled to carry on our permission that how many sites should contain in one ip folder (one IP) , that cause each share ip folder can has lots of site dependent on host company, google trace our ip info when we promote our site on web for search marketing purpose. many porn site would contain either in share ip or bymistakely in individual ip that cause domain would get affected,.

Having your site listed on the same IP address as a gambling site, porn site, warez, whatever has NO effect on your site. Reason being is the search engines penalize and ban sites based on there domain name, not there IP address. If that was the case then there would be thousands of sites penalized just because they share the same hosting package as bad neighborhood sites. The only time being on a shared IP address can have a negative effect on your rankings is if you have 10 sites with host gator, those 10 sites will all be on the same IP address, the WHOIS info is all registered to the same person, and the sites are all linked together in some way. Then that is when having shared hosting will come back and kick you in the butt.

A bad link neighborhood is considered having links to gambling, porn, drugs, link farms, splogs (spam blogs), etc. Since you are in control to who you link to, google can penalize your site for linking to those type of websites.

yes this is a major reason to get banned, i said that having porn or banned site in one ip does matter but it doesnt when they have not linked together in each ip,
