Yeah, no new news there. Google is omnipotent.

It will continue on that trend until Yahoo or MSN make some major improvements to their sites or their search results. They might have to make some new partnerships or buy out other companies as MSN has started doing.

I didn't say they are unbeatable. In the past month alone they have shown numerous weaknesses. It would just take a lot of resources and money to be able to match Google. In return Google could throw just as much money back to fight the competition.

The web just needs an ethical no-ad no-bs search engine to compete with Google...hmm maybe craigslist needs to start a search engine.

And also google is showing interest in other areas too..like Browser,Android. Entering into the browser market will give them strong position to increase their search market. I don't see any reason for falling google's search share.

Unless Yahoo and Microsoft combined together or they make drastic improvement to their search engines, the trend will most likely see Google remain at the top for the next few years to come. The way their expand their market shares and develop new programs including buying every single entity which they see has a potential in it, is indeed alarming.

However, they are still vulnerable to say the least from what I see with Google Chrome.

Bear in mind that this is from comScore only. I'm pretty sure Hitwise has higher numbers.

As much as I'm totally optimized for Google and try fine tuning my site according to their rules, I wish Yahoo and MSN would make some kind of worthy comeback. Unfortunately, it looks like we have another monopoly. But at least they have the motto "do no evil" so it can't be that bad... right?

I actually get 60% from Google 30 % from Yahoo and 10 % from Msn.
We really need another SE to grab a bigger part of the market, but I guess its difficult to compete with the big Google.
