can any one tell me what is a decent alexa rank from an adesnse revenue point of view?? is rank around 15,000 a good rank???
amnezia, i am aware of that.. alexa is an example i took i wanted to know in general what is considered a good rank from a revenue point of view
You'll need to reach the 12,000 plus visitors a day on a consistent basis if you are looking for consistent and serious adsense earnings. The Alexa ranking system is only one of many measures of a sites popularity.
alexa rankings depends on traffic . the higher the traffic the better the traafic the better the impressions. and i think click rates also depend on impression
Alexa rankings are B.S. The only time they matter regarding ad revenue is if an advertiser is personally looking to purchase ad space on your site. Then, I think anything ranking higher (which means a lower number) than 100k looks good to them.
yeah i dont know about the validity of an alexa ranking, alot of get rich quick sites use them to bolster confidence in a program.
Alexa is shit. To prove it, I told someone here you needed over 7k uniques per day to rank inside the top 100000. My site gets 7000 uniques / day, and ranks at about 90,000. She then said she had a few sites, that rank inside the top 30,000, with only 2,000 uniques per day...... Alexa = fukked.
I just signed up with AdBrite, and apparently they use it to let advertisers know how your site ranks with Alexa.
All you gotta do to increase your alexa rank is download their toolbar, set your site as your homepage and visit it alot.
Alexa ranking is skewed toward the demographic of people that download and install the alexa toolbar. That demographic is not very representative of the average internet user. It is impossible to draw a correlation between Adsense revenue and Alexa rankings. Sure, in general, the more traffic you get, the higher your earnings will be. But I have a website that averages 1000 uniques per day, and a poor Alexa rank (greater than 100k). It earns more than another website I own, which has an Alexa rank of less than 50k.
Alexa ranking has no value at all. Though Alexa traffic details are useful. To increase your Alexa rank, as others have said, you just download the toolbar and click your site for a few times in a day and you will see that within 2-3 days the Alexa ranking jumps really high. There are cases wherein the Alexa rank of a site is very good say some xxxxx and when you goto check the traffic it says " NOT IN 100,000" . So the summary is Alexa ranking has no value.
I dont take alexa ranking too seriously. Ever occured to you the rankings hardly change save for the top sites like yahoo, google, msn
I suppose there isn't any yet, but Google might come up with something soon. I'm having the feeling G might make their own traffic ranking tool, as G owns a large number of the web traffic and searches.
