hi guys, i have 0 exp in php and i wanted 2 install it on my windows xp sp2.
i used the installer of php 5.2.7 and i was prompt to select a web server i want to setup. and i don't know what to choose. i have iis 5.1 installed on my pc but when i chose the iis isapi module option the setup didn't complete so i eventualy chose the "do not setup a web server" and the installation was completed. now my php isn't working and i need some1 to tell me what do i do from now? 10x.

If you're happy to go with Apache over IIS, just install something like XAMPP or WampServer. These all-in-ones will give you Apache, PHP, MySQL (and generally some other bits and pieces) all installed, all ready to go.

I was in your situation when looking for a test system that's easy to set up until I found EasyPHP.

Installation shall be straight forward and there's a step by step guide here too:
