Do you live in India? What's your economy like?

    Ok,

I just saw a show about a guy going to live in india for 30 days and it was pretty interesting...

I know that the currency there is "rupees", and I think the exchange rate is like 50 rupees for every 1 US dollar... Right?

I'm curious, what's the economy like there? Like, how much do you spend per month in rent, or on food?

The rent will vary depending on the city and also proximity factors..
An average middle class family of 4 in India would be spending anywhere between 5000 to 8000 Rupees on food every month.

Rent for a two bedroom flat in a metro city would cost 10,000 Rs. ( Area of 1000 sq ft).

I'm talking live comfortably. Good food, fairly nice house etc. but nothing luxurious. How much would an avg meal at a 7/10 rated restaurant cost? How much would rent be for a 2 bedroom apartment? How much for a decent internet connection? How much for a loaf of bread?

    Thanks!

Edit: Oh, and how big are the spiders there?

I've lived all my life in India, and have never seen a spider as big as that.....

In INR, here is the average cost per month: Rs. 40,000 if you are single and live in a 2BHK apartment.
    803.204 USD
