Very High clicks

One of my new sites gets pretty high clicks.

Over $1 per click on average, many times it's even $2 and $3 clicks. It's a highly competitive niche, but still I'm quite surprised and afraid it might pass.

Does anyone have sites that consistently get such high clicks? Do you think this is viable?

Mine usually get high clicks for the first few weeks then they dwindle and die back down...Occasionally they have stayed high, you may be lucky.

i think no problem if your traffic is coming from good place. clicks are depend on keywords and how much the advertiser is paying for their adwords.

    thanks master yoda!

greatme, yeah traffic is from google. But we all know that google is greedy and they pay publishers as much (or as little) as they want. So I wanted to see if anyone here is getting high clicks consistently also.

I don't know how google adsense treat you but as i have been with google adsense for a few years i can remember that sometime for my first 6 clicks i can make more that $5 but when i reach 31 clicks i still can't get more than $7. This make me feel that google adsense treats its publisher like slave. :((

I have some high earnings clicks at times but often they went back to a half a dollar most of the time. I don't think such situation is consistent all year round..

You may see a decline because the economy is forcing advertisers to cut back and advertisers come and go, but I have a niche that has consistently been getting about $1.00 per click for a very long time.

The real problem is that the more you make per click, the more competition there is in that niche. Sometimes it's better to target a niche with a lower eCPC if the traffic gains give you more money in the end. (i.e. I wouldn't attempt Mesothelioma even though the eCPCs are through the roof.)

For me, it's like once in a blue moon to see a $1 click. These days it's pretty normal to see average 0.07 - 0.10 per click.

Really depends, if the ads aren't converting then the click values will be reduced. If they do convert then they'll continue to stay high.

Might high paying keywords usually stay high but every now and then they will drop perhaps by 50% max but overall the clicks are quite consistant

I have had a site with an average of $1.50 per click, and it's been a very stable level for the last 4 months (started adsense on the site 4 months ago).
