How To Write Great Articles For Beginners

I’m sure that most blog writers out there just write there article, spell check the article and then publish the article.

Most people are too scared to write an article as they don’t know what they would write about and that they would make too many grammatical.

But, article writing is not all about having an A* grade in English, it is about providing good quality content that viewers want to read about, they probably couldn’t care less about grammatical errors!

Here’s a quick and easy guide to writing your own articles:

    Headline

The headline needs to be eye catching and make the viewer want to read the article; here is a list of some of the best headlines:

7 Simple Steps To Catapult Your Success In…

    10 Deadly [Subject] Sins

    More Tips To Improve…

Six Things You Have To Know About…

    Are You At Risk Of…

Although these can be changed around to suit your article, you can make your own headline with the following power words:

    FREE

    Revolutionary

    Simple

    How/How To

    Introducing

    Wanted

    Magic

    Miracle

    Why/Reasons why

    Article Content

Article content is much easier to write if you write about something you enjoy, such as a hobby or sport.

If you need more information on a certain subject, then just do an internet search, copy and paste the information you find into a word processor.

You should write your article while referring to the information so that your article is unique and not just a load of information which has been put together.

Your article content needs to be full of benefits, tips and tricks, you should always put your biggest benefit first and then work your way through the others.

    Article Structure

Here is the basic structure you should use when writing an article:

    1) State a problem/Ask a question

    2) Emphasize the problem/question

    3) Write a solution to the problem/question

Readers do not want to read through blocks of text, so make sure that your article is well spaced out and that it is between 500 – 750 words length.

Do not write a mini-book, articles are supposed to be short content rich information.

Using the article structure you outline above, which makes a lot of sense, how long does it typically take you to write a good article? Thank you.

it depends on what type of article, how much research etc...

i'd say around 30 minutes for an average article, 1 hour for a super article.

How many words are in the articles you're writing?

I generally knock out 250-350 word articles in about 10 minutes or less. Once you get going on a specific topic or niche, as well as getting down a consistent process, it's much easier to write articles faster.

300-4000 anything lees and anything more will scare the reader. Also if you writing larger articles it`s better to divide the article into subheads.
    Hope this helps :)

Read a lot of websites, magazines and books. Read on all kinds of topics. Make sure that you know a lot about proper grammar, word usage and spelling. Strive to learn something new everyday. Eventually, amateur writers can become excellent. :)

Using a title that asks a question can be good for attracting a reader's curiosity and get readers to read your article.

Questions work great to engage an audience. Especially if you know they are probably already asking the question to themselves.

    For all beginners:

Key To Success Is Cultivating The 3Ps: Passion, Practice, and Performance!

Simply put, you need a passion for writing - not just "a passion," but, "an intense passion." Writing is no fun most of the time! You get bogged down. You really don't know what's going to be your next line. The flow of thoughts gets scattered. Without passion, practice, and performance, well, there won't be any Pulitzer Prize for you from your readers either! :)

You need the consistent flow of you ideas, but you are faced with the proverbial Wall of Jericho! Well, if you are really passionate about writing really great articles, you will find your ways to do it. You will barge in to overcome those walls, you'll climb over them, under them, or if needed, through them -- you will get over them and come out laughing on the other side. You'll succeed!

With passion comes the intense will to overcome all your inadequacies! You'll still barge ahead and come out shining! That's the first key to become a better writer. You will be "there," if you know exactly where that "there" is! Set goals, and work passionately to achieve them.

begin by visiting sites like EzineArticles. Search for the topics that you like, and read those thoroughly. While reading, find out how it is written! Make notes:
    • How did the article begin
    • How did it ended
    • How many words, sentences, and paragraphs were used
    • Did the article mentioned any problems
    • Were there any solutions given
    • Was it easy to understand
    • Was it outstanding?
    • Will you read it again?
    • Will you refer it to your friends who just might need them?

You get the whole picture... make your own little list like the above, and then begin ticking it with fervor!

If you like it, remember that article and move on to the next. Repeat the above steps...

    Then...
Try to write them in your own words! One at a time; don't rush and don't panic if you're unable to write the next word! Write the same article 10 different ways... well, at least, 3 different ways! See to it that, what you write makes sense to you. If it does, it will also make sense to others. Cultivate your special style of writing. Don't forget to check and re-check the entire article. Find out the errors and fix them. Rephrase your sentences, see if they can become better than the previous attempt. Use short sentences. Use easy-to-understand words. Make them worthwhile to all!

It is not necessary to always begin with a problem. But, if you must, them choose the problem that you have answers to. Or, at least choose those that will motivate someone else to find the solutions fast.

Get your reader's attention with a power-packed headline. Fill life into your content. Take your reader's eyes and lead them to the solution in a way that will generate excitement! If you can do this, you have won one more heart! If you can do this consistently, you will become a great writer one day, and that's a promise! That's Achieving Your Goals!

Writing great articles requires much passion. Only with real passion comes the focused will to practice hard with a definite aim to bring out the best. You will need the intense burning desire to set and achieve goals! Achievers are performers who set their own goals, and then set them higher when they achieve them! That's how, I believe, you write those great articles.

Remember this always, great performance is the golden result of all the initial pains. Perseverance is the golden key that results in great rewarding achievements!

    Regards,

    God Bless! :)

One important point that I haven't seen mentioned here is the importance of optimizing your articles using good keywords i.e., words that people use to search with at the search engines. Most people, no matter how great your article may be, will not find you article through a directory. More often than not, they will be exposed to a captivating article through search engine results. Studies show that over 90% of people begin their search for information at search engines. This is why it is best to write 'Keyword Focused Content Articles' to increase chances of your articles being found. Otherwise you'll probably just wind up sitting alone in a dark room holding a stack of your "Amazing" articles that no one knows about.

(Include your focused keyword in your title (Begin with it!), your subtitle, salt & peppered throughout your content, and if at all possible in one of your links.)

Write about what you love, and it will show. Anyone can do a well researched article, but articles flow better when it's about a subject you enjoy and know a lot about.

Get organized. Beginners (and everybody) need a pattern way to write articles. Always have 3 main points for 400 word article and 4 main points for a 500 word article (or something similar). Get a few subpoints in there for each main point. Tell them what you will tell them in the introduction and tell them what you told them in the conclusion.
