It's always SEO for me, but often if I want to quickly test something, (or use survey monkey) PPC is excellent since you can immediately (almost) send traffic to a landing page.

seo is long term and more sustainable than PPC .
ppc is left hand of internet promtion, seo is right hand .
However there are many example who have nimble left hand than his right hand. :D

seo is for long term, less expensive, while ppc is more expensive and instant result

Do you mean in biz perspective?
If you have lot of money to spent for marketing, then go for PPC coz it the best way to get maximum exposure to your site in the short time.
But if you are lacking in funds, then go for seo,but the downside of it is it take a long time to get your site noticed by visitor

This seems kinda silly comparison as there are lots of variables... and wouldn't a comparison of "which makes more money with respect to the amount of time put into it" be a better benchmark?

But.... I would say... seo in the long run, ppc short term :)

Heh, very very few here make money from seo traffic. As usual they post shit. And of those ones who do, it is very very little.

You make your money from advertising.

You will find out for yourself aboput this overrated seo traffic. That is, if you are lucky enough to land high enough.

Before you make money from advertising, you need to have traffic... using seo works for that.

Any money you make from seo is more profitable because you spent no money to get it but most of the time you can make more money with ppc if you do it right.
