Guys! Recently google launched their new browser chrome; so firefox in revenge made an ad plugin which blocks ads by google if u r viewing it and its all their in theor newer versions.....so in result how ever far we reach in SEO or SERP or gaining millions of TRAFFIC but if the viewers are mostly on Fire fox we may be loosing our INCOME!!! so share ur views!!
The percentage of visitors that will have that installed is going to be very small indeed, and those with it installed are probably going to be quite ad blind anyway. Personally it doesn't concern me.
yea..well said nofstar..a person uses adfree plugin only when he doesnt want to c ads...so even if he use other browser he neva goin to click on ads!!
I too don't think it will have a big impact on us unless FF promotes it. Maybe by paying google to announce it by adsense (like the referrals)
I reckon normal internet users won't know about plugins too much except if somebody starts posting them in a lot of forums and discuss it many more and etc
Thanks for the information, but will revenge work in todays world. Probably collaboration may work better, revenge can finish you.
That is not even close to being true. IE is about 70% and FF is about 20% according to Wikipedia and every other source that I have ever heard of. The people who block ads are not going to click on ads anyway, so no great loss. Tom
Breakdown by Browser to my site: Internet Explorer 73.92% Firefox 21.20% Safari 2.82% Chrome 0.72% Mozilla 0.63% Opera 0.53% Netscape 0.09% SeaMonkey 0.06% Playstation 3 0.03%
Can't lose my sleep on people who are blocking ads using the plugin. SOme people don't have any need to click on ads. We want people who have real need for product and services that find useful in the adsense ads. That way the publishers and the advertisers bot win.
Re-read this thread, no one is talking browser effect on earnings, but about ad blocking plugin. Jeazus.
