Question about Channels

I am so confused on how to set up channels.
I think i need a step by step guide.

I have one website that i use with adsense. However when i made this site i did not set up a channel. Now i want to make a second website to use adsense with and i need to know how i can set up a channel with my first website without re-doing the code.

    Any help would be rad.
    Thanks

Its very easy thing to setup ;)

!) Login into your adsense account
    @) Click Adsense Setup tab
    #) Click Channels sub-tab

and now you can create two type of channels.

!) Url channels (in which you give url address and this channel will keep track of that url stats)
@) Custom channel (it is customized channel with any name)

When you setup ads you can select any channel from previously created "customized channels.

But I don't think you can do it without redoing the code for 'unchannelled' code (although I may well be wrong) ... which is why hopefully you're using templates to make your pages. ;)

Google CP --> AdSense Setup --> AdSense for content --> Ad unit/Link Unit --> More options --> Custom channel --> Add new channel --> Insert A Channel Title --> Continue at Bottom --> Copy Code and Put In Site.

    Failing that: https://www.google.com/support/adse...9&ctx=en:search&query=channels&topic=0&type=f

Everybody learned it on their own. You should be able to as well.

    libertygone,

In another thread you were talking about 100% CTR.

Not sure whether you were really stupid as you had claimed but I was really the stupid one when I first started to play with Adsense about three months ago.

I can say that I'm not an expert but I could see my earnings increasing by more than 100% every month.

If one is wiling to learn, there are a lot of potentials.

If you just want to distinguish between whole sites / directories go to AdSense setup, then Channels.

Under manage URL channels enter the URL you want to follow, and 'Create New Channel'.

Do the same for the next site, so you now have 2 channels, one for www.yourdomain1.com and the other for www.yourdomain1.com

That's it. No need to touch your website at all, takes 2 minutes.

If you want to channel different ad placements -- yes, you have to replace all the different ads on every page (if you're not using a CMS/template that requires only one edit for the whole site), because you need to re-insert the channel ID. But if you only want to channel the whole site, and don't care about channeling the different ad placements, just add the URL Channel instead of individual channels.
