$30 Logo For USB Flash Drives - Huge Exposure & Great Opportunity

G'day!

My name is Mathew and I've been a member of DigitalPoint Forums for a few months now, and have held successful contests here before. Our business is based out of Sydney, Australia and we're looking to make an online prescene in the near future.

You will be designing a logo for our business which sells USB flash drives. Your logo will feature on our products. We do not have a website, so you do not need to base your entry off of one. However, you will be using a stock photograph of the device to create the perfect logo.

The business name is z0r. That's z[zero]r. The logo will feature on the actual flash drive, so this would look amazing in your portfolio. Also, the winner of this contest will most likely have future work, with future designs featuring on other new and exciting products such as MP3 players, Digital Photo Frames and more!

The prize money is $30AUD and payment will be made with PayPal. In addition to the prize money, the winner will also be offered a 50% discount on the purchase of one of our USB flash drives featuring your logo.

Once again, I cannot stress how great this would look in your portfolio. Imagine showing a client that your artwork featured on USB flash drives sold in Australia - they'd be really impressed.

Please find below the design of our USB flash drive. Please post your entries by itself, and one on the actual USB flash drive. The logo will go where the mockup text is at the moment. You can rotate the actual USB flash drive if you think it would help.

Watari: Is the right-hand side of the 0 transparent or is it filled grey? Other then that, your entry looks very good, nothing needs to be changed except if your entry is selected you may need to remove the trademark symbol until it's accepted. Right now the trademark is pending. If selected, it would be great if a logo with and without the TM is provided.

Katesrobyn: Your entry is very impressive, your talent is reflected upon your entry. I feel as though the 0 is non-existant. Maybe you could come up with something there?

Also entrants, please take note that I would like the '0' to not look like an 'o' as this could create product confusion and potentially dangerous in terms of legality. Thank you

Thanks guys for overwhelming amount of awesome designs. I appreciate everyone entering, and will try to give CC to all entrants. Please note that due to manufacturing requirements, we cannot colour code. This basically means that we cannot give logos with blue in them to blue devices, logos with green to green devices etc. With that said, if you can provide an 'allrounder' logo that would be great.

psychicBOY: I think you're heading in the right direction, but it still needs a bit of work. The 'r' looks quite like an 'n' which may ultimately confuse consumers, which is obviously something we don't want to happen. Also, the colours don't look bright enough, perhaps adding some .... brightness?

enquiryvcs: I like your top design over your bottom, so I'm going to give CC on that. I like how you emphasized the '0' and I also like the font. The diamond image with the 'z' inside looks great, except it would look even better if the 'z' was aligned in the centre, opposed to the right. Oh, and the yellow arch inside the 0 looks a bit out of place. I'd probably scrap the arch thing

IM3D: I'm not too sure if it's what we, as a business are looking for. Don't get me wrong, the design looks great, it's just not for me. I'm sorry for not being able to provide you with any constructive critisizm.

thelebeau: Loving the design! I'm thinking the font size may be a bit too big for the USB, so perhaps make it small. Other than that - it will definately be considered.

l3fty: We're trying to keep it below 2 colours, however it is not necessary to do that.

enquiryvcs: Your revision looks excellent! I love the design and it also looks brandable - so that's a plus. These things will show in the final judging.

watari: Your entries still seem to astonish me. Looks great, highly brandable, although out of the two entries, I'd most likely choose the 1st one
