    Well we must know.. it is 'Microsoft' free :)

    So yes... the software will probably be free but extras will probably cost money :)

    You have to remember, this software is for personal PCs. Norton will not be wiped out because it's meant to be used in a corporate network environment. I am a Systems Administrator for a dental lab and nothing comes close to what Norton provides me.

    And even on a personal level, OneCare sucks. Almost all the PCs people bring me from home are infected with spyware and viruses, and OneCare is installed on these PCs. I've tested TONS of free anti-virus software in my years, and nothing EVER comes close to Norton or McAffee.

    I think there will be some sort of catch to it.
    I dont see Microsoft as being one to offer something like that for free.
    We will wait and see.

    Great to hear that. Microsoft is going to dominate Anti Virus market as well. They start with free but then adds its value to existing price. This is their trick.

    Anyhow, nice to hear this news.
