Hey everyone, I'm currently running http://www.rapidsharesoftware.org/ - An experiment that I hope will someday convert. As you can see, it's an affiliate of http://sharingzone.net/ - The site itself is really cool, it automatically grabs 200+ new "posts" every 24 hours, formats them, and puts em up on the site (a custom script of my own invention, somewhat simple). I'm not putting any work in to it, but it's odd that it's not converting at all. I ran a similar site that was about half the traffic that was converting between 1 and 3 sales a week, and so far on this site in nearly 2 months I've yet to make a single sale... Can anyone provide some feedback on how to make some better sales on this one? I'm stumped. Thanks!
I'm having a hard time understanding what's going on with that website but I imagine you may be getting a lot of junk traffic. Not all traffic is created equal as they say. There's a big difference between avistor who comes to your site because they are looking for what you are promoting and someone who comes to your site because they found it on StumbleUpon (as an example.)
Erm javaongsan... It's not a landing page... LOL, I'm not selling an eBook, click one of the links under "popular downloads" and it'll send you to a clickbank site, sharingzone.net. Zibblu, that's true, however with twice the traffic of another site with the same traffic sources that I used to run, this site isn'nt making ANY sales.
Good idea, however your site also contains free links to the file. Meaning, when you click a certain software, it gives you links to sharingzone.net, and also at the bottom it gives you direct rapidshare links for free download. So I guess try and remove those links, and it might make a difference
also, lets face, it a lot of the people searching for those items to download will be looking because they want it free ... it's the nature of the people coming to the site ... if they are searching for it for free they're hardly likely to pay for it ... in fact, they'll do anything to avoid paying for it ... all traffic is not created equal ... you need traffic that is ready to spend
Yet again my same point is that my other site that ALSO provides the free links converted and had half the traffic.
