I would suggest don't give up. You may think of other extra method to monetize your forum.

Forums have low CTR and low eCPM. If you want to earn good money with forums, then you will need lot of traffic for that. Blogs on the other hand can have good CTR and eCPM.

I imagine running the forum is taking up alot of your time as well?! Could you maybe join some affiliate programs, relating to the topic of your forum and add some links to some popular/sticky threads. CPA/Leads pay very well and you do have alot of members, so could be worth a try!

don't get disappointed. Your forum grows on its own after a certain point.......................
keep working on the board , it must be your primary care i would suggest.

unique content is the adsense secret. for that reason, blogs may do well than forums, but it also depends on the content

This isn't enough data to conclude that one makes more than the other.

In any case, it's well known that forums don't tend to make much money from AdSense. Other types of site are much better suited.

I'd always thought forums struggled to earn decent $$'s with adsense unless they got ridiculously high levels of traffic? Also, it's easier to integrate and blend ad units into a blog than it is to blend them into forums IMHO.

Think of this. Have you ever visited dp and clicked on their ads a lot? Forums boards have a lot of returning visitors and so they wont be affected by the ads much.

On forums it's probably best to get high yeild pay per view ads instead of pay per click. & forums take a LOT of time & promotion to get really going.

Wao, thats quite task to conquer. I would advise you push on and try to increase the traffic generation technique on the blog and see if there will be changes

I think not.. your forum is just 2 months old, it means that it was
still under progress and development. The good thing you can do
is do the promotion for your forum and to your blog. Include the
link of your forum to your blog, once your blog is generating good
traffic and rankings there is a possibility that your forum will be known
and will earn too in just a short period of time. But, it still depend
on how you promote your site. ;)

If you have got that much with just two clicks, it doesn't mean that the same average will be there all the time. I would suggest you to concentrate on the forum as well as your blog as both of them can be a great source of income in their own way.

Once a forum has traffic, its pretty much automated income, except sometime devoted to moderation. But a blog needs regular updation.

you dont make money from forums lol
u use it as a base for your other projects such as blogs.

you also use forums as a content generating monster.

overall forums are made for fun and stuff, not really for $$$

It's normal. Forums get you less amount per click than the websites/blogs. Don't give up the forum. Concentrate on both and you'll get more $$.
