Wordpress as a CMS

Hi

I've got a new site in mind which will be a CMS system. My only concern is that the actual site may be pushing the boundaries of Wordpress to its limits. Does anyone have any examples of some really well done Wordpress CMS sites that I could look at?

Wordpress has no limits honestly, it can take whatever you can dish out, and perform better than pretty much any other CMS out there. I've begun creating a page for this topic (Wordpress CMS), it's not finished, but you can get an idea. A section near the bottom is entitled "Amazing sites made with Wordpress," which have some example sites.

 

Wordpress is perfect for blogging. Wordpress is great for websites based on blog. But wordpress is still perfect blogging platform and nothing more.

Yes you can do nice website with wordpres but if you are going to create multi functional website with different types of content and user management is important use Joomla or Drupal.

Drupal is more SEO friendly and more powerful but to set up website with Joomla is quicker.

Very informative article markn26. Yeah wordpress in my own experience can be used for almost anything you can imagine. Simple shopping carts, blogging, cms based. I use wordpress as a content management system.
