What if you found a paypal account accidently?

You've got the email and password.

What would you do?

1) Use a proxy to access it?

2) Ignore it?

3) Other options?

I wouldn't risk going to jail for a couple of hundreds dollars.

 

what do you do, when you rob/steal a bank accidentally? use someone else's ATM or credit card accidentally?

 

I'm totally agree with you...Very risk to steal the money from others because I have to think my family

 

i will use it through my ip! no proxy coz i have not any fix ip hehehe

 

Lame ... coz ur Ip will be recorded and do u know that even if u do have dynamic IP the ISP will record at what time they have allocated that IP to which user and till what he has used that IP
You can be EASILY traced

 

Wouldn't even think of doing anything with it!

 

i would go to a college computer lab or a library and buy victoria's secret

 

would try and get in touch with the user and let them know their account is not secure

I would try to login to account I found with wrong passwords until it locked out so nobody else could get into it and the owner can get password reset

Report to paypal about this, what else man. Even if your IP doesnt get traced and you throw you laptop outta the window after getting a few 1000 dollars, the bank account where the money finaly went can be traced. The whole chain of events is logged, and you can be screwed big time!

 

I don't know you, but you have to do the right thing. If it happened to me, I would quickly delete the info so I won't be tempted to do anything I would regret.

 

What you will do if you get accidentally someone else's Debit/credit card with PIN number. Do the same thing.

 

I wonder if anyone here had their paypal account hacked before ?

It'll be interesting to know what happen to get back the account and the outcome for the hacker?

That dude don't really need to put the money in his bank account if he's pro. He'll most probably spent the money buying things online etc, and in the end it's be hard to be traced. Heard stories about this before.

 

Contact the owner of the account and Paypal with where you found the information and if they can lock the account until the owner gets it sorted.
