Unicode string

    HI,

    I am doing one personal site in my native language. i want to search a string like 'அறம்'. But this string is stored in DB like "& # 3434;".... . So how to search and fetch the result from database.

    And can you give me some explanation about Unicode conversations.

    Why is the string stored in the database like this? Do you have control over inserts?
