well i dont have any search engine stuff...i dont even know what that is... i am currently getting around 4000~7000 uniques daily....a few days will be 2000 uniques...i just post on forums and tell some friends...

If you mean sudden traffic, you can get this easily via social media. But if you mean search engine and direct traffic, you need a hardwork to make a difference in the crowd.

a contest?, make new visitors to have a reason to come back meaning have Quality Continent instead of a website full of banners trying to make money.
They are many ways to bring traffic. Try all those strategies and Keep working hard. It is not an easy work...
Excellent content, along with a strong reason for your visitor to come back to your site. It sounds funny, but I like to "think backwards"..LOL...Put yourself in your visitors shoes... What could you offer them in your niche that would keep them coming back.. You will also reap rewards from these repeat visitors, as they will be likely to tell someone else about the website, if the content is valuable enough..
Youtube is one of my quickest and easiest traffic sources. It's not the best converting traffic, but know who you're targeting, it's priceless.
Try free stuff to popularise your website Link exchanges social networking : always try to add your website's information and or link whenever you send messages or scraps to your friends or others. leave replies to other related blogs : for e.g if your website is about marketing go to other related blogs and comment on their posts in which you can provide a link to your blog. post articles : post articles at sites like goarticles.com and articlecity.com. this will take little bit time but it is very good. post at forums : helping people at forums is very good thing and you can add some links to it but don't spam. this is also a very good way for traffic.

Sheesh that's a lot of traffic a day. What is the name of your website anyway? I say the best thing to do is have a service up that deserves 5000 visits a day. Also, of course some seo campaigns.
