Which is better, I'm using blogger.com but recently I was recommended to use wordpress, I have now installed wordpress so i'm just seeing what your point of views are. Thanks
If you're using it self-hosted, Wordpress is the way to go. On the other hand, if you're on blogger.com or wordpress.com, I'd choose blogger.com. My opinion...
1- Wordpress (self hosted) is more seo friendly 2- WP has more themes and plugins 3- It has many supporting websites/forums. 4- Wordpress interface is easy to use as compare to blogspot. And I will say, use dp search option since i join dp i see this thread many times discuss here.
Both have some benefits like customizations adding advertisements but themes and plugins are the feature of self hosted wordpress which makes it number 1 choice for blogging today.
Buddy i am also in that confusion only since i am now using blogger platform many told me to more to wordpress now my blog on blogger is developed some what... Since many said to use word press i created one on wordpress which is still in undeveloped condition i am now well stick with blogger... Wordpress have amazing themes and plugin's that blogger does not have but blogger seems very easy to use now day's most of the themes and plugin's also have developed and converted for blogger i am using many of that i am still stick on blogger since for the one reason is it belong to google... Google alway's seems to most creative, innovative and success in it's path... It will also make a good path for our blogging platform blogger... Be waiting i will definately come in and makes the blogger as an amazing platform...
WordPress, especially SELF HOSTED WordPress. WordPress is just the way to go if you really want to be successfull
if your blog is on your own domain, wordpress is the best. i am also using wordpress on my 3 domains. and during surfing, u will find personal domain blogs with wordpress blogging platform.
If you are lazy, Blogger is better because: 1. WordPress.org takes more time to set up and you have to manage the server by yourself; 2. WordPress.com is worse than Blogger.
Blogger is far easier to use, far more user-friendly, its pages load much more quickly, and it can be hosted on your own domain just like the wordpress.org versions of Wordpress can be. Interestingly, in this forum as in many others, the Wordpress enthusiasts apparently remain, as ever, unable to give any convincing reasons why it's any better than Blogger. It may convince others, but "Use Wordpress if you want to be become successful" doesn't convince me at all.
I also personally use Blogger for my IM blog, even though I have my own website with the Fantastico service for wordpress as well. Maybe I prefer blogger because it is easy to manage, extremely user-friendly, and also can be customized easily. So if you are newbies and don't have much technical experiences yet, Blogger maybe a great option that you should consider. Felix
Wordpress is much more flexible in every area than Blogger, it's simply a better solution as it can serve many purposes. Blogger is for blogs, Wordpress is for blogs, sites, landing pages, portfolios, ecommerce sites, news sites, magazine sites, directories, video sites, picture sites, rating/review sites, and 10,000 other applications. WORDPRESS = THE KING
wordpress is best than other blog system, the main reason is 1) Many theme to choice either premium or free 2) Mass plugin to choose 3) Very easy to learn the basic 4) Most successful blogger use wordpress(if i not mistake)
I have found that WP takes a lot of effort to set up, and doesn't have a lot of the built-ins that Blogger has (why can't I change the banner image or sidebar easily?). Wordpress may have a more professional reputation, but Blogger is much easier to use, and if you are willing to dive into the code just a bit (there are plenty of websites that make this easy), it will give you very professional-looking results. I think it's partly the .blogspot name that gives a lot of people pause, as it's easy to set up a spam blog there (or test your blog template, which is a good idea). Whew.
Blogspot is easier, wordpress (self hosted) is far more powerful. It's like asking what is better- pre made cookie dough, or made from scratch?
