Is it OK to show destination of affiliate link in Display URL

    im a little confused on what is allowed and what is not.

    If I have a shareasale affiliate link and put it in the destination URL, can I put the domain that the shareasale affiliate link directs to in the display URL?


    Example: Lets say my shareasale affiliate link automatically redirects to the mechant site ABC.COM



    Display URL WWW.ABC.COM
    Destination URL http://www.shareasale.com/afflink=

    Is this acceptable since shareasale affiliate links automatically go to to site (ABC.com)?

    Yes. That's fine.

    The display URL simply has to be the primary domain of the landing page.

    Yes, that's exactly what you want to do

    You can take it a step further, for example....

    lets say your adwords ad is promoting the key words purple flying widgets

    You could use ABC.com/Purple-Flying-Widgets in the display url, as long a the root domain (ABC.com) is the same as the root domain of the landing page.

    By using this technique, Google will BOLD those key words in the URL that are being searched
