How do you communicate to others that you are legit?

After doing a lot of research on affiliate marketing, what is the best way to promote yourself and your business without falling into the trap of self-promotion? I believe there are a lot more honest, professional people on the Internet than there are con artists. I find that being true and honest with yourself and how your present yourself is the best way, but I am wondering:

What experiences can you share that have helped to legitimize your efforts, especially when you are starting up something new? Thanks.

Reputation and honest, consistent, reliable results. Just as in everything in life. On Digital Point, that means postitive feedback on your transactions (buying or selling) as well as in your posts.

DP is rife with scammers, and those that give very poor quality work for more money than they are worth. Learn what the going rates are and charge accordingly. Folks will pay higher for better quality. Quantity is not everything to everyone here.

It depends on how you are working with affiliate marketing too. Are you here buying links, selling content, etc? Are you dealing with gambling, adult content or pharmaceuticals (for instance, some of us can't buy links to sites that have such content - like me)?

Get and keep testamonials from clients, publish the hell out of them. People respond well when they see or hear from someone "like themselves" that has a good experience with your service or product.

Good to know that others feel the same way. Will do some more homework and read up more entries before I start describing my content with others. But no, I don't promote the same content you mention, and never will. Thanks again for your reply!

I would use my technique word of mouth.
I give out the service for lower price to the first few people, and then i will ask them to introduce my service to their friend. So,the main thing to do whenever you start up new biz is building a solid reputation and customer base.It will come out handy in the future
