Hey guys, just wondering if iwhic is still one of the best value places to buy hosting? I want to upgrade my server but don't want to be paying over the odds:

Will get:

100GB diskspace
500GB bandwidth
2GB dedicated RAM
2 IP addresses
Cpanel/fantastico etc.

for $70/month.

Is it worth it?

 

I can give you 500 GB bandwidth on my dedicated server for 50 $ ( not oversold ) Let me know if interested.

Prices lower than 40 - 50 $ for 500 GB are oversellers, not for proxy hosting.

 

good enough as cpanel license itself costs over $30/month on dedicated server + $8/month for fantastico
nice server specs too so you can use CGI scripts

 

Fantastico is useless for proxies, the same with Cpanel, for proxies you need speed, less resource intensive control panels.

Why buy a Lexus when you need a Formula 1 car ? use LxAdmin for example.

fantastico is good for nothing except in certain cases
cpanel is not of much use in proxies
for a vps, lxadmin is the best control panel when using for proxies
but if cPanel is not required then i dont think its value for money
earlier i was on vps with clandrive for vps3 plan which was for $55 with lxadmin
it allowed me 850gb/month bandwidth and good specs server
what else does one needs

 

really dont want to spoil iwhic hosting ,etc
but im a host reseller and can prepare such a thing for $45-$50

Hmm..yeah, I know people might say it is against adsense TOS but can anyone show me the part of the TOS saying I cannot use popups on the same page as adsense? Because, from what I understand, only popups/popunder that interfere with site navigation are prohibited.

Thanks for your tips about hosting. I think I need Cpanel+Fantastico for two reasons - I am nooby, so useless with new control panels. 2 - I also run normal sites, like wordpress blogs, on my server, so fantastico allows me to set them up easily. And with such a powerful server, I think cpanel won't really impact the speed of my proxies. Although I am no expert at this!

 

Most people understand the "to interfere with site navigation" to be any form of pop-up. Google has the ability to define "interfere" and "site navigation" however they want, so do you really want to rock the boat on that one? I have seen maybe 2-3 people using any form of pop-up alongside adsense and I highly doubt they still have an Adsense account today. It's your choice, just don't come screaming to us when you lose your account.

 

What are the most popular websites people surf via proxies? YouTube, MySpace, FaceBook, Gmail?
And do anyone knows good free proxy listings?

 

You might be right. Actually I'm waiting for an answer from Adsense team. Perhaps once they answer my question I will update this thread. Anyway, I doubt they gonna answer because there are several hundreds similar questions left unanswered.
