    if you can write very good posts and publicize your blog then you can easily get 1000+ visitors in just 2-3 months. The number of visitors depends on the niche you have choosen. Some areas can get good traffic very easily and some may take a very long time to attract more visitors.

    AdWords work best. The point of a website is not a traffic, but a profit. Though if the source of the trafic is not an issue, you could buy some porno traffic, it's cheaper than AdWords :)

    start writing unique content, believe me, its the hardest but best way to get traffic. You can also look at SEO Tips which I had put last year (though still totally relevant IMO)

    Advertise on cheap networks like AdBrite, if they can pay $0.01 for a click to publishers, I hope they must be charging $0.02 per click from advertisers who advertise their ads.
    I heard from some forum 7search.com also provides $0.01 clicks.
    I don't know of any free way to do this.

    Or you can pay me some amount and I can visit your site 1000 times per day :p

    1000 per day for new site, difficult but doable. If have money then adwords can be an option. If site is good then users will return so budget can be decreased later. Also seo techniques, web directory & artcle submissions, forum posting, social sites. Avoid buying traffic and email spamming.

    Add pages for every foreign language. There are tons of plugins and sites that do this very good, and free. Wordpress has a great plugin for this. It will quadruple your traffic within days.

    If u only want traffic(number of hits/day)you could use traffic exchanges,but i think you should look for laser targeted traffic!

    Don't try and reinvent the wheel. Deal with every aspect of SEM (search engine marketing) and see which one works best for you. The best way to "get web traffic" is the same for "making friends" - do it slow and steady for longterm goals. SEO is the first form of SEO to tackle.

    First, I suggest you to do proper keyword research. because, lots of people are fail in this stuff. If you target wrong keywords and keep doing hard work then you will not gonna success in as much as you want. So, first do proper keyword research and then target some keywords for your home page and inner pages. Do some regular SEO Strategy.
