How can I find keywords I rank for?

Discussion in 'Google' started by trosquin, Nov 19, 2008.

Is there any tool or way to find all the keywords that my site ranks for without having to physically search for each? Or will I just have to plug in a whole bunch that I come-up with into a tool to see what ranks?

seodigger is good but has not been updated for a looooooooong time. Try google analytics - from your keyword traffic you should be able to get a rough idea what longtail phrases you are ranking for.

Install traffic counters like from Google Webmaster tool or Statcounter, you can see the query there where your traffic came from, along with keywords they use.

I've been using google's webmaster tool and it shows all my backlinks, what anchor text that is link to my site, and keywords that was used when they search for my site. Great tool. I also use statcounter. This are the tools I only use.

seo diggers ok if you're in the states and targeting the US market as it queries the "gl=us" google search string.

this is radically different now from the global (non US) google.com results.

Have you tried Marketleap.com? I use it all of the time. There is also Compete.com, and Quantcast.com.

They are all very useful resources,

Seodigger hasn't been updated for a long time, but there is a new tool from the same team, www.semrush.com
    try using it.
i think that you gonna be satisfied.
It gives you not only information seodigger gave, but also list of competitors on the keyword under analysis, a list of keywors your competitors use etc etc

What keywords your site ranks on does not matter. What keywords you wish to rank on matters so use google analytics and statcounter and stick close to your target.
