They will not do anything about your files, i have spoken to iBoot via gmail chat and he told me that their TOS cover them, when i then re read them he had changed the TOS after the crash, I pointed that out and his answer was "PROVE IT".. when i then got the google cache and showed him he told me that they changed them after the cache but before the crash.. so good luck to all of us to get our files from a lying kid..


Im going to make him pay tho.. if i can make 100 people to not sign up with them we will be even.. For that i have this signature link and will have that as long as im member of this forum and other forums until he gives up and admits

 

well i got news from DC. they will send backup at 14th Dec, 2008
i know backup means every thing but it is not possible that u not have single backup..
i will inform you when backup will available

My question is; Have all these people been without hosting for this long, and are they still hosting-less?

I'd be more than happy to provide free hosting for all of you - until Pra Host gets back on their feet (if that's the situation).

 

I have a half-filled web server, If any of you want free hosting until prahost is back up ill gladly give it for free as well.

Thank you guys, but my problem is not to have a hosting, i just payed for a new host that costs 10 times more than PraHost. But that is not my issue here.. The problem is iBoot didnt have anything saying about any back ups. After his servers crashed he realized that and changed his TOS to cover him. When I pointed that out his answer was that I could not prove when he changed them. My final conclusion is that he is a lier and not reliable... You cant just change anything to fit your self and ask your customers to prove that you did it or not.. I KNOW he did it since i read his TOS only after the server went down, then he was gone for couple days (hiding), after he fixed everything (new TOS and got up his website) he got back again... with an attitude that he didnt have any responsibilities at all..

 

1: we updated TOS 1-2 month before crash.
2: it is your fault u not keep a single backup
3: main site was down for only 1-4 hour after crash then i move to other server.
4: i think you need some responsibilities to keep your backup. first time i saw a person who doesnot keep any backup.

If you advertised the fact you had your own backups,why should he need to make his own?

My datacenter creates backups of my clients, but I always keep a days backup(it gets purged and redone everyday) of all my clients account just in-case, It only costs me $30/month for all my clients! and the reason I do that is so something like this cannot happen and I can quickly restore accounts without needing to deal with the datacenter.

 

lol after crash i changed Dc and now they offering backup service for extra charge

i had alot of problems with Prahost around September.... they had my site down for 1-2 weeks.... was really annoyed with them.

i moved host ofc. there are other hosts taht are much better than prahost and offer better prices.

 

i don;t think so because we have this first downtime. server was slow but not down. but now we have great speed with 8gb ram and 1000mbit speed

1: No you did NOT since i read your TOS for first time after the crash and there was nothing in there telling about that we need our own back ups.
2: No its not since you never said anything that we need to do that, no other host im using does that eather and they ALWAYS have a week back up.
3: Your main site is not my issue here, the issue is that you are a lier, when something goes wrong and you are responsible you just lie to get out of it.
4: I didnt have any back up since my coder just made the site a week before your server crashed and he worked online on the FTP, i work on yachts which means i do not have internet access all time, but if you had in your TOS as you have now before the crash I would asked my coder to get back ups..



Here is basically how our chat went when we talked at Google chat

Me-- You changed your TOS?
You-- No i didnt.
Me-- I KNOW you did since you are now cleaning your self out from the crash, you didnt have that before.
You-- Prove it
Me-- "Sending you a Google cache link to your TOS with your old text".

(Now something interesting happens, until that i showed you the google cache you were denying that you ever changed your TOS)

You-- We changed that long time ago

You are a lier until you take your responsibility for this or get our files back
