well google is financially very sound as we all know but there are chances that the persons who are advertising through adwords are in trouble due to the econmic crisis and do you think that there is lowering of adsense income of your websites these days. I used to get $1 or so something which is now more down to .06 or something,, or this is just my thinking....
yes, global economy has something to do with it but millions of MFA sites and zillions of click fraudsters are mostly to blame in my opinion. google is taking a hrd stand on this and i think slowly we will see our income increasing once these gerbages are weeded out
Financial crisis has much to do with AdSense/AdWords campaigns in countries using other currencies than USD, especially the weak and unstable ones. But still fraud is what mainly lowering earnings of AS publishers.
Of Course Yes, Google reduced earnings by one half. If financial crisis continue, everbody's situation will be bad
All I know is my earnings have been cut in half over the past few weeks... but I can't complain I still make a really nice amount every month.
I don't think the economic crisis has much to do with the internet market. Maybe in some financial niches only and maybe only for particular countries, such as USA (mainly), France and UK. My Adsense earnings are steadily increasing according to the traffic... Absolutely no change in the CPC (travel niche). Actually I think the financial crisis is pretty well limited to USA (I know that involves many of you) and all the rest is just panic, which of course affects the stocks hence the financial niche of ads. In my country there's nothing different except the share prices, which doesn't affects me at all. So...NO!
i think the important point is keep stand and prepared for after depression. Everything gonna be better.
I think the internet market is not as affected as other markets are. But everything these days is interconnected, its definitely taken a hit.
There are always some businesses and niches that do better in a recession, but in the main most people see a drop off in customers. Google is not immune to this. The last week has been an especially hard one where both the value of the clicks and the percentage of clicks have both been down. Impressions are lower, too. For me this says, fewer advertisers bidding on keywords, fewer people looking to buy or invest in services and, finally, fewer people actually searching online. Of course, my cadre of websites may be the only ones affected, but somehow I doubt that...
Obviously with less competition, advertiser don't have to place higher bids anymore. That's why the cpc is going down a lot.
I voted no. My earnings have been up dramatically since the end of october. Im in the U.S I don't know why adsense is doing so good since my affiliate ad conversions are way down compared to what they used to be 6 months ago.
I voted no also. The money is generally up nicely, but it's jumping all over the place. A couple of months ago I could have predicted what the daily numbers would be within a few bucks, but not recently.
I noticed that too. A huge surge the first few days and now its getting more reasonable to closer to what it used to be, but still better than the past.
Well after viewing all of your response i have concluded this that even though internet world is quite distinct thing which can be affected simple by the economic crisis but there are very much chances that google and other ad serving companies can cut off the publishers stake for safing their stand in market...
I was coming in here tonight to see if it was just me, or if others experienced the same. I wondered if advertisers were cutting their bids and ads, and if people browsing were less curious to click due to less interest to buy. The 1/2 amount you mentioned is exactly it for my end. I just looked at last year's stats. My CTR is nearly exactly 1/2 and my daily average earning is 1/2.
