It's a great guide. It's funny how they don't even mention "meta keywords" even once, I wish Yahoo would make a guide like this.

 

your title is a bit off, if you think a seo STARTER GUIDE written by google is all you need then good luck to you.

As for me, nothing in there was new and in reality, it's all common sense.

Well.. I admit the title is a bit overrated

Just want to get the attention of most DP members so that you do not have to keep answering the common sense questions

 

Its a basic seo guide, not a guide which will make you to come on top on front page none the less, again have to say good effort from google.

 

Good information for newbies in seo fields as it file name just search-engine-optimization-starter-guide.pdf. Hoping that google soon release some advance stuff..What do you say ?

its a SEO guide for newbies, just appreciate it for what it is. Meta tags still hold value, just not as much. SEO is played more with bum marketing and link building. Web 2.0
