My earnings have gone up
But that might have to do with changing the placement of an ad on my forum.

It might be because you got smart priced by google. Google does that to protect advertisers. They cut down the money per click you get which will consequently reduce costs for advertisers if their return on investment is low.

Also, adsense is market driven the more people buying into adsense the higher the ad payout will be, my guess is less people are opting into adsense marketing.

I posted this response to the same type of thread yesterday. I think I can add to it by suggesting that whining about your ad revenue going down will not bring a better return. Take the time to play with ad positions, creating new pages and content, and even new sites. As ad income goes down, work harder to get it back to where it was with more content and traffic. Once the economy picks up, you will be in even a better position with tons more content and traffic, AND the $$$ will follow.

The reality is Google's revenue and profits are the highest they've ever been! http://finance.google.com/finance?fstype=bi&cid=694653

They are profiting at Publisher's expense (literally). Their % of payouts to Publishers has been steadily decreasing. It's not going to get better, but it's not because of the economy.

I have to say, my Adsense income is higher than ever. While that is only like $3-4 per day, it's sure different than the $1/day I was getting not too long ago.

Google has a new tool that lets Adwords users choose which sites to advertise on, I wonder if that will make things better for Adsense users who have worked hard on branding their sites.

Mine Adsense profits are up to, but I make 90% of my money from my own products. I would be really nervous to be making my living purely from Adsense. My Adsense revenue covers all of my hosting and software costs, which is pretty cool.
