How i went from page 16 to page 4 in one week

last week a ' SEO ' professional called my office to see if i wanted to work with him. I said how much you want ' he said $500 + ' i said forget it i do my own seo work.

i explained to him how i am already on page 1 for a few of my keywords in big G. He said when we were getting off the phone ' do you know that you are on page 16 for the term AFTERMARKET MOTORCYCLE PARTS ' i was not aware of that and did not pursue that keyword. After he told me that i said thank you and then this past week that was the keyword that i focused on.

i signed up for new forums and used that term as my anchor, i added to text to my headers and pages on my site including that term, i basically used that term this whole week.

now this morning I checked Google and babamm!. page 4, next week it will be page 1

I see less than 1 million results for that keyword so keep up building links and you'll get a nice result
ps if they were more than 1 million you wouldn't have any chance only with forums

Great work, that's how to do it.

 

That's part of my approach as well. I typically go after difficult phrases and monitor top search queries in webmaster. I then find the phrases that I am ranking for in the top 3 pages and link build based on those phrases. I moved from page 2 to 1st position for a term relating to mortgage fees. It's not a highly searched term, but we will take whatever we can get.

The problem is that the ranking fluctuates a lot...drops in an out of position 1-6. I'm thinking we just need more quality links and an older site. Not sure yet.

so do forum links really work? I have never used them before! but if they work, maybe its a cheap way for me to actually get some links cheaply.

 

nice! DP truely is a great resource. I find though that I get so much out of just analyzing the sites that you guys all SEO and looking at your backlinks.

 

I would try using blog commenting and article submission as well as forum links typically are viewed as very low quality links, but congratulations nonetheless.

and unless its a hot topic with a bunch of responses and people link to it, it's not really worth that much...

 

Interesting. I've never thought of finding high ranking search terms for my sites then linking from those.

I'll need to think on that a bit.

 

There could be two reasons why:
a.)"AFTERMARKET MOTORCYCLE PARTS" is not a competitive keyword
b.)Your competitors site were not well optimized

that was really easy it is a three phrases keyword with less competition that was really easy but congratulation to you on your success.

 

You are on page 4 now . Go on with your good job .
Page 1 and page 4 are very large differences .
No1 or No.2 are very large differences with page 1 .
