Following is a report published in a popular news daily.

Kuala Lumpur, October 29: Yoga may soon be outlawed in Malaysia, if a prominent body of clerics which is planning to issue a fatwa on the practice, has its way.
Malaysia’s National Fatwa Council is going to impose Fatwa on Yoga after Zakaria Stapa, a lecturer of University of Kebangsaan’s Islamic Studies Centre, on Tuesday advised Muslims who have taken up Yoga to stop practising it fearing that it could deviate their belief, local news reports said in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.

“A ruling would be made by the council’s Chairman, Abdul Shukor Husin, in this regard,” Deputy Director-General of the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia, Othman Mustapha, quoted as saying by New Straits Times online edition

If they issue a fatwa on Yoga, we're sending Booboo, Mr Ranger, and the other Jellystone Park regulars after 'em. The nerve of these guys.

    According to wikipedia
Obviously it won't be right for a Muslim to practice hindu rituals or Sunday services at church. So whats the big deal if there is a fatwa for muslims to not to do yoga or attend services at church?

That's interesting. Your praying posture is a yogic posture in itself. It's called Vajrasana. Check out with someone who practices Yoga and he will tell you. Will the clerics issue a fatwa against that too?

Give me a break. There is a f*kin fatwa against anything and everything in the world. I am going to nuke the next guy who posts news of some stupid f*kin fatwa.

If their belief is so weak that practising an alternate form of exercise would deviate it, let them do the fatwa.
