Hi How to I password protect file a pdf file? So whenever the file will open, a password will be required. Thanks Mods:I couldn't find any other category for this, if not, please move it to correct one.
Not sure if you can do just a file only, but you could do a directory. Just create a new directory and put that file in there. What type of server do you have? Windows or Linux? If you have Linux and cPanel, there should be an option to password protect a directory.
Do you have Adobe Acrobat? If yes, go to File -> Properties -> Click on Security tab. From there choose Password security from the security method list. If you don't have Acrobat, you can try this tools : http://www.novapdf.com/kb/password-protect-a-pdf-document-55.html
Well, that is possible, but then people can view and save the file in their harddrive, and that is what I don't want. use securedoc program , u have to install it in ur pc, if u need some files be protected ,just log in in this programm and make the file protected using password. this method doesnt disply ur encrypted file,until u log in this program again,
