Which is the difference between manual and auto submitting ??
What else matter since the link is up there in the right category? I don't think it matter who added that link and how.

I want to hear other opinions

Manual submissions is done manually submitting your sites on to directories.

Auto submissions is software bases or is done script based, not going in to details as to which one is better.

I know what means manual and auto submission.
I was just wondering why manual submission is better than auto. It's only because of details?

Manual will be better for making sure you or an associate selected the correct category and actually visited the directory to potentially read any rules and guidelines in place.

Manual can be done quickly anyway with form fillers.

by manual submission you can choose any category you like but software submitts only in your directed category. may be possible in some directories that category not available so it not submits to them. or many many times wrong category selection tends to rejection.

Auto submissions usually don't find the right category, and submit the same url and descriptions to all directories.

Nothing! If your autosubmission script is good and can even rotate titles and descriptions then you're fine.
What tool do you use for automatic directory submissions? Care to share?

I'm in the process of adding another field to make sure that submitters read my guidelines, submit to the right category. I want site owners to submit their sites and not those paid submission services that waste my time deleting each submission.

I will make My Web Searches directory become FREE again and accept sites that are worth listing.

I think manual submission is better than automatic one. Why? Because you can customize your categories, titles and descriptions. I think I would like to find a software which fills all the forms I want, but it does not submit them until I give OK. This will be an automatic method but manually checked; which is better in my opinion.

Saying manual is better than automatic makes no sense. I'm sure submitting automatically to the right category, rotating titles, etc. and braking captchas is possible (especially when you have your own checked directory list). We need something like xrumer but for directories :D

lmao.. very true as many Indian guys and gals are involved in these work but some non-indians are there too. I too have some fellow workers who are interested in doing these manual submissions. Anyone can contact me if they need the service. 500 manual submissions for $50. PR0-6. :)

Like many others here are saying, manual is usually safer. However, I can fully understand if you do not want to to the tedious work of submitting by hand.
