i am going to start a new gamin arcade webstie.. so i have planned something to get some visitors to my site.. plz give me ur suggestions.. 1. Directory submission (300 PR 1+) 2. 432 Backlinks on 12 forus. (a Thread in DP) 3. Social Book marking Service 4. Search Engine Submission. is it ok?
If you use a turn-key site, then you need a harder promotion effort since your site isn't unique. Add more unique contents on your site and your previous promotion will start showing the result.
All the techniques are goos. But your content should be unique. Because content is the KING for any site.
It depends on which keywords you want to rank for. The techniques you're using are only mediocre techniques and won't get you ranked well for anything competitive. Tell me your keywords and I can tell you in a snap if you'll rank well or not. I think a flash games site like this is better promoted by having unque flash games of your own with a watermark on them so that when used by other sites they promote your site. This kind of entertainment can also get a lot of attention on StumbleUpon.
I will promote Flash gaming website with a unique template.. i don have any of my own flash games.. i will research keywords in google keywird tool, Keyword elit.. is it ok?
Content is only king if you promote it. YOu can have great content but nobody will care cause they can't find it. Google won't magically rank your content high because it's great. What you've mentioned are bottom feeder strategies that won't do anything to help your web site rank in the top ten. You'll have to look at clever ways to get some links. Maybe a free game that's unique to users....
since it's a gaming arcade website be creative. try to put some flash in promoting your online gaming website. =)
1. Recently Google took away the credit for directory submission by removing the clause from Google webmaster guidelines. I still would do it in directories that are likely to be frequented by potential visitors. SEO wise it has lost its shine. 2.Forum back links would not be enough You would have to source links from relevant pages of non competing websites. 3. Social media can be effectively used to create awareness (Pre launch) and channelize visitors (Post launch). 4. I don't think there is a need for it. As long as you have got even a single link pointing to the website, search engines robots will crawl and latter index it. You have mentioned that you would be building a flash website, which will be a wee bit difficult to optimize. Do some research and get ready with you title tags, keywords, description, website content etc.
Content is King. Arcade website? Is it an arcade or talking about arcade. I found out that using cartoon images on an more teen focused site gives better results. Don't take what I say for granted though, check it out yourself !
Forum posting and directory submission are good for new sites. Sooner or later, use different techniques to improve search engine ranking. Nowadays, Search engine submission is not needed anymore!
all are nice but you dont need to submit your site to search engine, it will automatically crawl by search engine spider so there is no sense to submit your site to search engine just focus on linkbuilding and on page optimization.
Please try some good quality articles into high pr article directories too. Pay more attention to keyword analysis, high search volume & low competitiveness.
GREAT GUYS i though i will get only 2 or 3 suggestions but i got more than i expected.. after ur invaluable suggestions i came to this decision that i will do , 1. Link building 2. PPC Camps.. 3. Writing an article and submitting it to high pr website.. 4. Keyword analysis.. 5. Directory submission.. Finally, i will update my site frequently with new games.. Currently i have 7774 games..
make sure the content is original, keyword density, good title for each page, try get links from same interest websites better than links from other topic sites.
Your #3. Writing an article... I would probably say write several good articles and submit to high PR article sites, re-write the article and re-submit to other sites as well.
Good tip. Articles are good at the moment, so are blogs, not so sure about blog comments though as there are alot that add the nofollow.
Well honestly these are all bottom of the barrel in terms of links, these are all pretty near worthless links. I would recommend trying to work on content and get people that want to link to you instead of paying people for low quality links.
