Just curious, hows the real estate market in your area? I'm conducting a survey. What city and state do you live in?: (ie, Los Angeles, California) How do you rate the current real estate market? Good? - The market here is above average and people are selling their real estate relatively fast and for top dollar. Average? The market here is average. Homes are selling but not as fast as they normally would. Bad? The market here is bad. Homes are not selling fast and when they do its for less than normal prices. The real estate market in India has seen decreased transactions in general... Though the prices are yet to show downward revisions......the number of deals have reduced a lot. Regards, RightMan
Indian government is considering a second relief package for the real estate and housing sector, which is crumbling under liquidity crisis and a slowdown in demand. Apart from giving real estate an infrastructure status, the measures being looked at include reduction in interest rates from 9.25% to 7.5% for home loans up to Rs 30 lakh, an official in the department of industrial policy and promotion (DIPP) has said. It's okay where I am. Prices have declined about 10% but are still stable. Mind you, I live in Canada so we didn't get the brunt of the subprime effects.
I'm in Australia and its starting to soften a bit but first home buyers are still buying due to government grants.
Here in Nasik > Maharashtra > India, the prices are ok somewhat at this time. But yet affordable as compared to other cities. However, I am getting a good response for my shop since the opening of Big Bazaar (opened on 25 Dec 2008) which is adjacent to my shop.
