:DI really want to sell some of my domains but have never done so yet. I am a little nervous to be taken advantage of. I am not sure on how to do it successfully with no problems. If some one would post the steps on how to sell a domain fast and easy. Where do I start? How do I recieve money through paypal? Do I recieve info from buyer or do I send info to him? How to do a "push" through godaddy? Please help with a step by step process. Should I post the domain names on the auction page? I would like to hear from domainers with experience in selling.:D

    1. Why sell a domain name for money through Paypal? If it is worth anything, you would use Escrow.com or Sedo Escrow, but if it's only low XXX or even less, I guess you could sell it on here or another domain forum for Paypal

    2. Set up a Paypal account, verify it, and all they need to send money to your Paypal is your Paypal e-mail address

    3. If they are reputed here, you shouldn't worry too much about transferring the domain name first. Otherwise, I would request payment first. Again, escrow is preferred.

    4. To push with GoDaddy, select the domain(s) in mention, and go to the account change button, then fill in the information. You will need his customer ID # or user name, and his e-mail on file. Besides that, just make it so the account information doesn't need to be modified on your end and hit finish.

    5. It depends on what the names are worth to decide where to sell them. Anything < $1, 000 I would personally sell on forum, but if you have a name in at least XXXX, auction may get more attention.

    Hope this helped.

Thanks SunHunter for the fast reply. Does Escrow.com cost anything for thier services? Do I have to remove my site from whypark first before selling?

Well, of course they do. However, all escrow services make you pay some sort of fee. I suggest you use Escrow.com over Sedo Escrow any day.

Here is a link to the escrow fee calculator for Escrow.com - http://www.escrow.com/support/calculator.asp

With Escrow.com you will not need to change parking sites, but I think you do for Sedo (don't quote me)

Gauging the list you PM'd me, it is unlikely you will see a price for any of them that is worth bothering of using any escrow service.

Well they don't hold any special value. .ca domains are a risky market for investors. While there are sales to back up the extension, it isn't really one that many investors will get into. There is a chance a few of those names could see a little end user interest, but it is unlikely.

I don't think anyone will really express any interest, even on these forums.

If they expire next week, or relatively soon, yes. However, if they still have at least 2 months left, it is worth a try to sell them here.

If you have any questions, I have no problem with trying my best to help you out, so throw me a PM. However, there are a lot of knowledged domain investors in this community, so your best bet is to make a new thread or make another post in this one.

This forum has the "Domains" section in Buy/Sell/Trade which is where you are best off to post. I suggest you just post them all in one thread and listen to offers. Setting up an auction for every single domain, or even as a lot, will likely result in no interest or you losing out on a bit of cash.

    Hope I helped. :)

I even got contacted from someone through my parking company. I can't really give it much though because it was a american trying to buy one of my .ca domains, which isn't allowed from what I read.
Thank you for the great help and advice DP members.:)

If I were you, I would not be that happy to find someone who is interested in my domain :) Because there are people who send the payment and got your domain and then they dispute and got their money back easly from paypal!

Yes that the common problem with domain selling.
But there is one way to deal with it by taking advantage of the registrar that offer reverse back the domain transfer

Yes I think Godaddy is good to reverse your offer. They send you an email asking if it was your choice or by mistake. This is where you would dispute. Most of the sales are to other members of forums such as this. Not big money, more trustworthy. Has anyone ever sold a .ca? How was the proccess?
